Sapim CX-Ray bladed spokes
The CX-Ray is Sapim's most versatile aero spoke, and has the highest fatigue test values of any Sapim spoke available.
With a weight nearly 30% lighter than standard double butted spokes, its unique strength and flexibility make the CX-Ray suitable for rigorous disciplines from criterium racing and velodrome racing to tracklocross and beyond.
The CX-Ray fits all standard hub holes without filing or other modification due to it's 2.3mm maximum dimension at the widest portion of the blade.
The very thin flat middle section requires special care while building up a wheel, and must be supported using a bladed spoke holding tool near the nipple to prevent twisting during tensioning and truing. Because of this, building wheels using these spokes should be left to experienced wheel builders.
Available in 270-310mm custom cut & threaded lengths, rounded to the nearest whole number (no decimals).
Threads are rolled, not cut, using exactly the same process as a spoke factory.
We also offer uncut 310mm blank spokes without threads, if you're not sure of the length you need and you or your wheel builder have the ability to cut and thread them.
Spokes are sold individually, and nipples are not included.
ⓘ When adding spokes to a custom wheel build order, please choose 'custom wheel build - we calculate' from the menu list and we will determine the correct length based on the rims, hubs and lacing pattern chosen.
Please note: We do not provide spoke calculations if we are not building your wheels. If you are building your own wheels or having them built by someone else, you or the wheel builder are responsible for calculating and ordering the correct spoke length.
Unless there is a cutting/threading defect or shipping mistake, spokes are not returnable.

In addition to the rim and hub specifications, you will also need to input the lacing pattern you will be using (radial lacing ="0" on the calculator).

As of January 2026, Sapim has ended its distribution in the USA. Our current inventory represents the final stock available for purchase. If we are unable to fulfill your order due to stock limitations, we will notify you as soon as possible.
We are now transitioning to stock Alpina Raggi spokes, which are manufactured in Italy and offer excellent quality.
